I am currently dealing with blog technicalities and finding that I quite like the good old pen and paper. What you see is what you get! Simple is good *.
In fact, I wrote this and my first blog entry at our dining table after 11pm (on a weeknight) and an exhausting day at work in black ink on white, lined paper. There is something very satisfying about the pen gliding across the paper, the faint scratching sound it makes in the process and witnessing the result of it all - your handwriting - scrolled across the pages, whether it is beautiful or not (it changes constantly, like my state of mind/being) **.
In fact, I set up this blog last night, but the words only started flowing once the computer had been switched off and I was preparing for bed. I never thought brushing my teeth was inspirational...
If only my thoughts could write themselves down, and do so as quickly as they come out! (I might have gone to bed a little earlier :)
* P.S. Click on the hyperlink to see what came up when I googled 'simple is good' (it's an entry on minimalmac.com). Interesting!
** P.P.S. As
an aside: Have you ever looked at the back of a page you have
handwritten and considered what your writing looks like? I always like
mine better that way ;)
You are doing an excellent job in getting my thoughts down on "paper"!
ReplyDeleteKeep going!
hehe... great minds think alike :)
ReplyDeleteI do miss the good old pen and paper days. There is something peaceful about curling up with a notepad and pen, not quite the same as curling up with a computer! Although in saying that, if you had only written it in a notepad, I would never have been able to read your musings, which I am enjoying by the way.
ReplyDeleteThank you :) And there is nothing stopping you from curling up with a notepad and pen!
